Bockhorn (1. Weltkrieg), Kreis
Friesland, Niedersachsen:
Im
Mittelpunkt dieses Beitrags steht die Bockhorner Gedenkstätte zum
Gedenken an die Gefallenen des 1.Weltkrieges.Die Gedenkstätte besteht
aus einer Konstruktion aus Klinkern der Region. Hierauf befindet sich
ein Dach aus Ziegeln. Untergebracht sind 3 große Tafeln und 2 kleine
Sondertafeln aus Stein. Mittels einer Steinmetzarbeit, sind auf diesen
die Namen und die Sterbedaten der Gefallenen versehen. Die Namen
verlaufen in Reihenfolge des Todestages. Hiervon abweichend, werden in
diesem Beitrag, die Namen alphabetisch aufgeführt. Diese Gedenkstätte
ist der Teil einer Gesamtanlage für die die Gefallenen der
Kriege:1870/71,1.WK und 2.WK. Die Namen der Gefallenen des 2.WK, sind in
die Steine einer Mauer eingebrannt. Letztere sollen zu einem späteren
Zeitpunkt gesondert erfasst werden. Für die Gefallenen von 1870/71 gibt
es ein eigenes Denkmal und ist ebenfalls Bestandteil dieser Anlage. Es
wurde bereits in diesem Portal veröffentlicht. Die Anlage befindet sich
in Bockhorn-Friesland gleich im Eingangsbereich zum Friedhof an der
Grabsteder Straße. Insgesamt befindet sich die Anlage in einem guten
Zustand.
